Hello, and welcome to our new website! Since the fall of 2018 we have been sending out newsletters to those of you who support us and our work in Indonesia. We will continue to send out monthly updates as before (contact us to get signed up if you aren't already), but wanted to put together a website for a few reasons. First, this will serve as a place to archive some of the stories that we have shared in those newsletters, so that we can see our growth over the years and so that those of you who are new to the support team can get caught up. Second, we know it is hard to visualize a place so far away from the US and often get asked for more pictures than what we put in our newsletters; this website will provide a way for us to give you a better image of what our lives in Indonesia look like.
Navigating the Site
Under the "About Us" section you can find a brief description of who we are and what our work is with REI - Indonesia. If you want more details or are curious about joining REI, feel free to reach out to us via email or WhatsApp.
Click the "Newsletter Archive" button in the menu to go to the site blog, where we will keep an up to date compilation of stories from our past newsletters. Note that the stories on the site will be edited for security, so if you want the full stories make sure you're on our email list and add us to your email address book!
Check out the "Indo in Photos" tab to view a Google Photos album filled with pictures we've taken during our time in Indonesia. There will be nature shots, food pics, photos of us with friends, and more. Think of it as a visual tour of our lives here.
The site menu also has links that will take you to the Java Bite webpage (currently out of stock, but check out the stories on that page and stay tuned for incoming inventory) and the Resource Exchange International page. Additionally, if you want to support our work financially you can hit the "Support Us" button and make a one time donation or sign up to give regularly.
Future Site Plans
In the future, we hope to also use this space to interact with you more via our forum. This might include sharing things we are learning, discussing different books or global news, asking for advice, and generally connecting on topics that interest us. If that sounds fun to you, let us know! For now though, enjoy this as a space to be connected to our work through stories and photos.
