Bali, to Bromo, to Brawijaya
The last few weeks have been FULL of activity, and though we often feel exhausted trying to keep up with it all, He is good and supplies our every need.
Here are some highlights from the last month:
Recently a trade show was held in Bali, where our product was well-received
Indonesia + Yemen + Belgium + America + Germany = a vast combination of cultures, just crazy enough to work! Girls from all of these countries continue to meet weekly at our home, and powerful discussions are taking place.
This same group of girls also had the opportunity to take a trip together up Mt. Bromo! Though windy and dusty, we all had a great time together enjoying God's creation.
Jake is continuing to work hard at Universitas Brawijaya--growing professionally and developing close friendships.
Amber's sisters came to visit and we had a great time showing them around Malang and introducing them to our friends.
As mentioned earlier, Jake is extremely busy with his Master's program in Land and Water Resource Management. It has been a challenge to pursue this program in his second language, but needing to depend on other people in his class has been a very positive, growing experience. He has already developed strong friendships in his cohort. Through hard work and help from his classmates, he has already successfully completed multiple presentations and papers. Last week was midterms, and thankfully the second half of this semester seems like it will be a slightly lighter load.
